ACT Clutches...HD or XT?

I'm going to throw in a light weight FW and was wondering what ACT kit to get. From what I read, the HD PP is 40% stronger than stock and the XT is 100% more. I want the car to eventually get up somewhere near 400RWHP so I assume that the XT is the way to go. Now, other the it being a few bucks more, what's the drawback to the XT over the HD? Stiffer clutch? Harsh engagement? ...?

I got the Xtreme instead of the HD and after reading around I was scared it was the wrong decision... I was wrong. I have no problem with the engagement in rush hour traffic and petal feel is fine. I love it!!

I've got the HD along with the lightened flywheel....real smooth engagement, no real problems. I'm putting down over 300RWHP. I don't see where the xtreme should cause you any problems and it is advertised as handling more than the HD.

The 6 puck and 4 pucks, OTH, are another story!

ACT clutch

I have the ACT extreme. Smooth engagement, even in stop and go traffic. Holds under anything I have tried so far. Much better than the Mazdaspeed/RB street/strip combo I replaced. That was tough as shxt to engage smoothly- plus- it slipped under full throttle power shifts. Clutch disc had no Frenel springs, only center springs, so it was either engaged or not.

Sounds good. I'll probably go with SR Motorsports FW, ACT XT pressure plate, and the ACT street/strip clutch. I guess that's what most people run. How much HP will it take?

I am running that set-up w/ all the bolt-ons and the BNR stage 3's without any problems. Waiting to fine tune before hitting the dyno for numbers but I'm hoping to be in the 400 range...

The extreme. It's not a heavy pedal at all.
