ACT Clutch

alright so my clutch petal went to the floor when i was driving and didnt come back up untill i played with it for a little bit. but after it came back up the clutch seems to shake the car when engaging. so i was wondering if im going to have to replace my clutch. and the thing is i like to beat on my clutches alot i was wondering if the act clutch last a long time with wear. as this is my third clutch in the car. and im sick of the little life of the oem clutches, so my question is which clutch last a long time while still able to have fun.

It sounds more like you have a problem with the clutch hydraulic system. Does it go dead often?

I'm actually about to buy an ACT clutch as well, so any help would be appreciated. Ive heard that they last as long as a stock clutch, but will provide more from the pressure plate. But the disc is exactly the same OEM.

this is the first time this has ever happened to me. i did the 5th gear slip to see if it will stall and it passed. but the car shakes now everytime the clutch engages. i was just driving normal for once and i went to shift from 1rst to second and it went into gear but the pedal didnt come back up. im about to sell this damn car, im sick of the problem after problem with only 33k miles on the car.

That's some of the silliest reasoning I have ever heard you would sell a car because you have a relatively little problem.....

Learn what is wrong and fix it.

might check your cylinders, I had a similar problem with my clutch pedal and the culprit was a bad slave cylinder.

Well then that is just plain bad luck.

This should be a good read for you. Might eliminate alot of those question marks.
