Really doesn't look too bad, all things considered.

The swaybar mounts deform easily, but they bolt up to the car. Get a good used set cheap, that's good to go. Also get a new swaybar (also cheap used) and a front subframe.

The power steering cooling lines MIGHT need to be replaced, but they might be bent back into shape.

Radiator definitely needs replacing, though!

Really shouldn't be that bad, unless there's damage to the front of the car. That's all easy bolt-on bits that need fixin'.

From what you see, what do you think is stopping the wheels from turning to the right?

I think you need to start removing parts to have a look. If the radiator was that crunked, I'd wager you'll have some steering component damage as well.

Driver Side (all the way to the left) - Is this stopping the wheel from going to full lock to the right?

DAMN IT.... everyone stop driving there FDs for a couple of weeks.

This is the third FD collision (including my minor one) in the past couple of days.

LOCK UP YOUR FDs for a little.

And sorry for the loss... looks like your swaybar, front subframe, radiator, steering rack and or suspension components are fucked.

whatever he hit, he hit it hard
it really doesnt take much..

i totaled a car going 25mph. and suspension damage is no joke. if that fd has over 100k on the chassis, it might be totaled cause of low value.

Yeah I know, i wasn't thinking, but I really can't turn back time, so i have to just mend my mistakes.

Yeah my Fd has 144,xxx Kilometers = 99,xxx Miles. But the main reason like i also mentioned before was that my car has Zero claims or anything on the car, and I'd like to keep it that way.

ps. you spelled "duel" wrong in your sig.

haha, yes 99% of canada is coverd by at least 2 feet of snow ther are no roads and we all live in igloos. o and also are daily drivers are dogsleds or snowmobiles, our 7s are our summer weekend cruisers.

lol cmon guys, i live in vancouver b.c., southwestern part of bc right by washington on the border and we only get snow in total about 20 days of the year and it usaully melts in a day or two after the dusting.

but yes its a shame your bro had to wreck it, i wouldnt let anyone drive my fd, especially if its too much power for them and they wouldnt know how to control the under or oversteer. looks like he hit some curbing? or parking barriers (hence the yellow paint?)
anyways hope you fix it soon man.

Go and get an engine support bar, attach it to your engine mounts and drop your subframe out. It looks like your sterring rack has taken a big hit and it may have bent the internals of it stopping it from working, also replace the steering rack mounts. You should be able to get a cheap second hand steering rack or at least take yours out and get it checked/fixed. Put the new sub frame in and steering rack, replace sway bar/radiator mount pedistools and sway bar. Once you have done this I would check your chassis to make sure its not bent. you should be able to obtain measurements from someone or a manual etc to figure out if you have bent the front end.

I had to do the same thing a little while ago with my last FD due to a friend trying to show off and beached it onto a traffic island! Unfortunatley he didnt pay me a cent for his **** up but my dumb as fault for letting him drive it!

Now NOBODY drives my FD but me!

it was a canadian making the statement about canada being 99% covered in snow and i think even most Americans would know were vancouver is.
Calgary isnt always snow covered in the winter and there are somedays i could get away with driving my fd. but a single turboed fd even on dry days would be way to dangerous just due to road and tire temps.
c'mom guy, vancouver is the 1% that isnt covered and like u said it does get snow from time to time. which should mean no fd's. Kelowna gets its fair share of snow at anytime during the winter and buy the looks of the car in the first set up picks it was raining at least. but probably snowing. the op still hasnt filled us in on wether there was snow on the ground or what was even struck with his car.

Car is running at 7psi, with 7500 revcut. The car is a fresh rebuild so its not getting pushed hard at all. It was light rain, my bro won't man up and let me know what he hit, he just says he'll pay for the damage, im assuming a median or curb...since only the lowest items in the car where hit, and the rest survived.

I've got a full set of front and rear upper and lower control arms and a stock sway bar. I think I have a set of stock front sway bar mounts as well.

The control arms have hard nylon bushings pressed into them. Most people on this forum probably don't remember "Unobtanium" bushings of about 10 years ago, but I bought a set and after they were in the car for a year or so, they got so loud I ended up replacing all of the control arms with another set with stock bushings. The ones I have available still have the loud nylon bushings in them, but at least you would be back on the road.

Let me know if you need any of these parts.

Sorry about your accident. If it helps I have a good slightly used Fluidyne radiator that has been polished. I also have a good steering rack. Looks like you also need a front engine subframe, sway bar with mounts and end links, and possibly a steering rack. Your wheel probably isn't turning because there is damage to the rack, or the bent swaybar/mounts are interfering.

from what i can see, the eccential frame is good, the two mounting towers for the sway bar, swar bar itself, bushings, and might as well do the endlinks, need to be replaced, the sub frame is probably twisted a bit, but a good body shop with a good frame guy can straighten MOST of it out. never all. or buy new/used straight sub frame and replace, the rack dosn't look damaged, but you'd need to get the sway bar towers that are all twisted outta the way before you can really find out, probably biding it up. check to make sure the inner/outter tie rods aren't bent, should be straight. the motor should be fine if he turned it off immediately

glad your bro is safe. gl!

Well when i did remove the sway bar mounts that were twisted and the sway bar itself, the wheel would still not turn all the way. From what i can see the rack might be damaged so i just removed it, end links look fine.

Thanks for all the help guys, i really do appreciate it alot!

Whats a good replacement for the sway bar mounting towers? I've been reading on how they are not strong at all. Anything I should do while the car is apart like this?
