AC lines, different for each year?

Im trying to find and buy firewall forward ac lines for a 95 FD. after some researching it seems that 93-94 are different than 95, due to the 134r. BUT in addition to that, ive read that they are also different based on whether or not they are a touring model.

i have a 95 PEP/PEG(sunroof,leather,NO bose) is mine the factory nipondenso?Which lines do i need?

and on top of that, i just called ray crowe. he said he can no longer get any ac lines! crap!

i have all the components of the original system. i just need the lines that will fit, and be the original routing.

Easiest way to tell is to look at the sight glass...but I'm thinking since you need the lines, and the lines are made into the sight glass, that option isn't going to work for you. The second, less easy, way to tell would be to compare the evaporator case to the diagrams in the shop manual. The Nippondenso and MANA
evaporators & cases are different.

Always nice to hear that EVEN MORE parts have become unavailable for these cars. Makes me want to sell mine.

The main difference is in the fittings at the ends of the lines. They made the threads and diameters different for each system to supposedly avoid attaching the wrong part to the wrong system. The differences are outlined in the Body Electrical Troubleshooting Manual if you happen to have a copy.

The dealer usually go by vin# to look up any a.c part for the 3rd gen because touring came factory installed ac, while other came with port installed a.c and offcourse both carry different manufacture name (mana) ( denso) I believe it's oem ffrom the dealer.

A sight glass is a little glass window in one of the lines on or near the dryer. Take a pic of the top of the dryer with the lines attached, post it here, and I'll do my best to determine what type of system it appears to be.
