Ac Help Needed
I've been trying to fix my ac due to the extremely hot weather in miami lately but something just isn't right with the system. I had a leaky compressor so I swapped it out and now the ac no longer has a leak but doesn't cool when it needs to. I have a power fc so i find out when the compressor turnes on using the commandor, when the ac turns on my car seems to jump when accelerating and decelerating. I thought it was probably a bad ground but when i regrounded the system the problems still occurs. I thought it was the belt slipping but the belt is on tight. There are times where this studder of the motor doesn't occur and actually cools better when not studdering, usually the first couple seconds when the ac is turned on. Does anyone have any idea of what it could be? Thanks.

I'm no AC expert, but it sounds like your system my be slightly under or over-charged with Freon. When you first turn on the AC, pressure is equalized in the system, and it will start.
If the freon is not enough, then you will cut out on low pressure (there is a switch to prevent the system from running low and damaging the compressor).
If the charge is to much, after it has run a bit, the pressure in the compressor may get too high. This may be causing the high-pressure-switch to switch off, or, the AC clutch to stick-slip since the initial pressure it is operating against is too high.

from what most people experience, with the Power FC, the compressor is only engaged on fan speed 1 and 2. there is a way to fix it, do a search and you might find it.
but you definately need some A/C gauges to find out what pressures your A/C is running at to determine over/under charge, etc.
