ABS Pump Question

I notice that my ABS unit is leaking a bit around the bottom of the rear cyclinder. Are there any shops that rebuild these things?

I never heard of the ABS unit leaking as being common.

I got a used one only to have the same problem a year later. so I would say its a common problem. I wish someone could rebuild them.

New one from Mazda is around 2 grand last I heard. Or you can post a WTB ad for one here. Expect to pay around $100. I just sold one with 35k miles cheaper than that.

I got my old one pull and have a used one coming from another forum member. So I decided to take mine apart where it is leaking around the cyclinders. It isn't that complicated and once the six hex bolts are out it is quite simple. There are numerous seals/o-rings (11/ 6 big and 5 small) in there. All that radiant heat from the engine and turbos plus the corrosive fluid takes its toll on thoses little seals. I could see brokedown seal residue all over inside my unit. Now what we need is an industrious forum memeber to go through and measure the different seals and put together a seal kit. I would bet a lot of us would pay a decent price to rebuild our own units. Thoughts, comments, ideas?
