ABS light

Today I went to start my car and noticed that the ABS light stayed on instead of shutting off after a few seconds. I checked around and found you can pull the codes from the ABS computer by jumping the GND and TBS connections in the Diagnostic box. So I open up the box and I dont have a terminal labeled as TBS. I checked the underside of the lid and no TBS. Was this terminal added in later years or something? For reference I have 93 R1. Any ideas on how else to check codes or ideas on why light is on?

The ABS computer and its warning light has no idea what the brake fluid level is. If the brake fluid is low the level sensor will trip the red "brake" light, NOT the orange "ABS" light.

The ABS light will come on if there is a fault with the wheel speed sensors or the ABS computer. First off be certain the fuse for the computer is good, it's the one labled "rear wiper" in the driver's kick panel (this same fuse also switches the a/c compressor on. If that fuse is blown the a/c light won't come on either). If that's fine inspect all your abs sensors and their wiring. After that it probably gets really expensive.

DamonB, You're the man. Today while I was tinkering with my car I opened up the fuse box and was looking at the fuses. I noticed one labeled rear wiper so I pulled it out to keep as a spare, since I have an R1 and have no rear wiper, not thinking it may be for something else. I put the fuse back and no more ABS light. Thanks. I will be able to sleep tonight.
