Question About tubo response in first gear ?

I'm seem to be getting 8 lbs of boost in first and hold it all the way to redline. Is the second turbo suppose to kick in? Or is just one turbo is used since it's such a short gear. All the other gears i have both turbos coming on. I seem to be boosting in other gears 9-15-12

Mine acts like that too. But I also have a Turbo Control problem and I'm planning on fixing the two solenoids that control the TCA so we'll see what happens after.

You are headed for a blown motor with those huge transition spikes with the stock ecu.

Since you are running a "manual" boost controller, I suggest you tune it better. You need to divert less boost to the pre-control. This will give you higher boost on the primary and less spiking at transition.

But before I did all that, I would either get a modded ecu or PFC. The F-con's not up to safely running a modded FD.

You should get secondary boost in first gear.

Your boost spike to 15 isn't good. Probably caused by the mid pipe. I don't have any suggestions on how to fix it. You should do something before you damage the engine.

"The F-con's not up to safely running a modded FD."

actually, yes it is, when tuned correctly. Problem being, it's far from being a semi-popular tool, outside of japan - the knoweldge base is shockingly small.

Definitely can be used sufficiently though - that comes from seeing the unit used in 10 second drag fds - which, I'd say, are good enough to be termed 'highly modified'.

that said, pfc is the most popular weapon of choice, for good reason.
