about the BOV inquiry

hey guys.
i have few questions about the blow off valve.
i was trying to get a HKS SSQV, but i needed to do intercooler piping first to do it.
which will be another 300-400.
so i don't know what other bov i can go for with just stock pipe.
i heard apexi ones are good, but also heard it makes the car runs richer or something.
any opinions on bov i can get?

woah woah hold up. who did you hear from that a blow-off valve would make your car run richer? I would suggest you never talk to this person again.

You can also run any blow-off valve you want on the stock pipe, as long as you have the proper adapter.

thx for the tip there guys.
so i guess HKS SSQV doesn't come up with the kit, and there's no way you can put that on stock pipen unless you pay another 300-400 for new IC piping?
also the this one guy quoted me the total price including work for apexi bov will be 300. does that sound reasonable since i don't know the price for the apexi ones.

i got another question here.
what do you guys think of buying a used blow off valve.
i purchased this used apexi twin chamber bov, probably with couple thousands on.
is there big difference on the sounds between the used and new bov?

Nope, a valve is a valve. Just make sure it's not leaking.
