Get me a job where its WARM!! I need 45-55k min.
You must be single to afford all this upgrade on 45-55K min. I make way over 100K and can't see modifying the car to your level. Of course I got wife +2 kids house 3 cars etc..

Yes I am single, No kids.
Being single has some benefits. I drive a fat car, have a New SUV I drive Daily, Wear a Rolex. Buy 4k dollar computers. Travel wherever whenever I want. Drop 13k at a time and no one complains or threatens to leave. LOL
I did Pretty good this year though. I think It will be somewhere around 73k. But I would work for less. My car is paid off I have no Credit card bills or loans. I could work for 40+K and still have fun. Right now I waste more money just to spend it. I should save it but I have no Dicipline. Maybe it is time to find a wife. J/K
I started dating a College Senior here at University of NH. She wants to be some kind of Actress. Give me a break. She will spend more time on the "casting couch" and come back with a useless education. Although its fun to bang her thinking she might one day be a movie star I can say "hey i used to do her".
Keep me posted. I am always looking for a better deal. Will work for car parts!

ZoomZoom, the dyno sheet looks great but what kind of times do you run in the quarter?

Ive never run it. But my best friend runs his Modded STI all the time and it runs 12's on street tires. I crush that car even from a dead stop drag race on my street tires. I mean I crush him. My car is easily in the low 12's on street tires alone. I would estimate low 11's with me driving on ET streets I have in my basement. I will tell you in the spring. But the car just destroys everything. ZR1 vettes, Vipers, C5 vettes have all fallen. My car absolutly smokes! I'm no driver either.

The series-8 turbo's you are talkiing about are more efficient than the previous series-6 (92-95) & identical series-7 (96-98) versions. They are a few microns smaller on the inside allowing a closer gap to the blades thus giving a lower pressure drop.

Get all that..????

You will need to re-tune your ECU to suit if you do go for them too.

If you hang back a few months. Here in Oz, we are getting a set of factory looking twins made up for public sale.

Standard, the FD engines (92-02) use a pair of HT-10 turbo's. We are adapting & modifying a pair of hi-flow HT-12's to fit & look + perform just like the original turbo's.

Beauty about this is their ability to tolerate 18psi reliably & max out at 500hp in flow.. Advantage over the single 500hp turbo will be the throttle response, low end torque & all the other advantages a twin has over a single.

ZoomZoom what did you pay for the GT 35-40, manifold etc.?

If you get the same sort of low end as the twins I could have an interest but what kind of $ are we looking at?

I bought just about everything i needed from A-spec tuning. Those guys are top notch over there in Chicago. I think my Kit retailed for 3999. I bought like 9 grand worth of stuff at once so they gave me a discount. You can talk to Steve at A-spec and see what you can work out. Thier new GT40R kit is 3799. Its abit bigger than the GT3540 but is also DUAL BB. I would have purchased it as it has a T4 housing instead of a T3 and will probably spool just as fast as the 3540 but more power. This kit wasnt available when i got the Kit I have. Also they have improved the manifold since i bought my kit. It now has an Equal length manifold and should increase both boost response and top end. The Kit is even better now than the one i have so you can imagine you will get at least my results and likely better.

If I may ask, who exactly is making these hybrid turbos? How much larger are the turbines? I imagine there will be some definite machining to get them to fit. They are plain-bearing units as well?
