99 spec turbos

ok ive come across some serise 8 twins four sale, and i think i will get the four my gf 93 rx7 as she love the twins and dont wont to go single. um what i want to know if all series 8 turbo are the upgraded ones, like the 98 rx7, as most people call them 99spec turbos?

allso i just put my y pipe and all my bits from my 96 rx7 onto her car as im going single a gt35/40r. now how much do you guys in the u.s pay four a y pipe and everything, as here in new zealand its like rubbish, i just bought a series 7 twin turbo with all the pipes and everything air filter i mean everything to put it on a car four 100nz $ thats about 65 u.s $, and allways see turbos selling four cheep, like there another one im wacthing and its even got frontmount intercooler pipeing and its only at $70nz so i might get that as well.

only the upper spec FDs from 98- have '280ps' turbos -

version V (98-00) - RS, R.

version VI (00-02) - Spirit R A/B, RZ, R, RS, and the two Bathurst models in this run.
