Joe, please take all price concerns to PM.

thien, those tailights, they require a core. That's $350 easy right there. It's definitely not cheap.

latinFD, you can definitely convert the lights via paint or an insert, but they will bubble in the long run from heat etc. But some ppl just really want original stuff, and hence believe it's worth the price - not something that just looks like it.

Damn you Ramy!!!! I really wanted to keep my FD looking as stock as possible, but DAMN those LED tail lights look SWEET! I just bought a PFC under my wife's radar, I wonder if I can get away with the intake AND taillights for Xmas......

Well, since I got a ton of PMs asking about the center tailight in the same style as the other tailights (LEDs, and blacked out as well, to match the style), I did some research, and found this

Plz note this is SEPARATE. Ie, purchased separately. It's NOT included in the set of main tailights in LED.

Thanks
~Ramy

Hey Ramy,
You know I couldn't pass that up (it's late) at a dime a dozen I figured I could make a small profit on them if I got a couple dozen. Hell I could put a nickel back in my pocket (woop's forgot about shipping) ! ! ! ! LOL And I'll PM you next time free bump for a great guy. PS I'm looking into ceramic coating the inside of my parts before polishing, if it works like I think it wil best of both worlds. Jack

[QUOTE=FDNewbie]Thanks. I'm not kidding when I say I can almost always beat any vendor's price

As for differences, if you look closely at the 2nd pic I posted (I tried to capture it), genuine 99spec lights have rounded circles. They kinda pop out a bit under the housing. The 93 - 95 stockers are flat. Plus, the 93 - 95 converted ones tend to bubble w/ time & heat. The 99spec ones don't.

Oh and btw, if you ever need any parts, feel free to drop by. I'm local

Sure Here are pics of the last set I sold:

/QUOTE]

FDNewbie is an excellent seller and I can personally vouch for him on these (as can many others). I was the one he sold his last set too! Just got them today or I should say just opened them up today (was out of town on business) and they are in excellent shape (they look brand new!), just as Ramy described them! They'll be going on the car this weekend.

If you want 99 spec tail lights (or anything else for that matter) you can't go wrong doing business with Ramy (FDNewbie)!

Yeah, got my 99spec from him as well and had no problems what so ever. One of the best venders on here. Anyway the leds look cool but I still like the 99s better.

Have you considered getting your tails converted?

It really is hard to tell. I saw the 99-spec tails vs. the fake ones and you cant really tell a difference unless youre told. It'll save you almost $500. Think of what you could buy...

boost controller, clutch, hood, blah blah, save your money....

heres my fake tails

Jack, sure, paypal me a dime (with Paypal fee ) and I'll promptly send you a dozen PICTURES of the tailights

Oh and the ceramic coating is good, but it doesn't make the polished exterior any less high-maintenance I think I'm going to try a clear powdercoat on the polish...see what happens.

Awwww shucks guys lol. Thanks for the kind words. I just really try and treat ppl like I'd like to be treated...that simple really

Richard, I'm glad you got 'em and you were happy w/ them. Def. post pictures of those badboys when you install 'em!

AlexJT, thanks for the kind words. I'm trying I PMed you btw.

Rx-7Addict, I actually have converted ones on my FD haha. But they're my original tails and have a few surface scratches etc, plus the inserts are bubbling a bit. Can't see it unless you put your face to the glass, but I know it's there, and that drives me insane. So yea, a set of original 99's will be going on there soon.

It's really just a matter of preference. Some guys want best bang for the buck. Converted tails are the way to go in that case. Other guys are real hardcore about having brand new original parts. So for them, no imitation will do. Both sides are entitled to their preference

You know that only Mazda makes the OEM 99spec tailights, right? The originals that everyone wants... Try pricing a few items from Mazda. I think you'll be in for a nice surprise.

R1 Strut bar: $900
Driver side door panel: $2300
Passenger side door panel: $1900
Steering wheel: $1162
Main Catalytic Converter: $1418
Pre-Cat: $1279
Air Pump: $980
Turbochargers: $3954

And finding a PRISTINE used set is very hard to do. And all my customers of course only want PRISTINE parts. So yea...if you're looking for cheap parts, you're messing w/ the wrong car
