99 spec tail light conversion Question

Hey I searched and found the how too on the conversion but i had a few questions from the write up.
http://www.jsott.com/rx-7/lights/index.html

I don't understand after it says to tape the circles ... It says to place tape on 90 degree angels around the circles which makes sence then draw a line through the circles connecting to the tape on the sedes... Correct.....?

I get totally confused when it says."The markings on the four pieces of masking tape will help you pinpoint the center point of the circle after you remove the paper circles."

I don't see any picture though when the circles are removed though? Ok So I guess you would remove the original circles and place the clear contact paper in its place using the tape as a guid to place it....

How do you adhere the contact paper to the lense btw??
As far as using the scrubbing pad, do you scrub around where the clear contact paper is placed? So that it sticks better... So after you spray these babies up and it is dried you just peal back the clear contact paper up and then you have your tail light form?

Sorry if this sounds very elementary but these directions needs some clearing up for me if I am going to tackle this job by myself.

Thank You.

I think you are thinking too much? Just cut the circles out of the contact sheet and stick them onto the plate. (contact sheet is like a sticker) Spray paint and after its dried, slowly remove the contact sheet.

And dont forget to sand the plastic around the circles before you paint them! If not, the paint will peel after some time...

people do it for 65, but is an easy task, about 10 dollars and 1 hr of work, and the heat gun, they sell those in any hardware store, and yes you will use the heatgun for more jobs latter on, heath shrink on some cables, plastic moldins, etc multiple uses
