REAL 99 wings cost $900+ or so. I'm sure you can find cheap knock-off wings that may or may not be adjustable -- just look on ebay or whatever if you just want cheap copies.

If $400 wasn't real enough for you, then how low does the price have to go to get real?

fwiw, 'efini' and '99-spec' don't go together - the 'efini' branding ended in october 97

Once in a while you have guys selling them in the sale section for $650. If you know guys from Japan, they can get them for you through auctions for $500 or so but shipping is still a bitch.

I got a Vis adjustable copy with the carbon fiber center. I haven't installed it yet but the quality look good. I bought mine for a total of $350 picked up and that was from the ORIGINAL Group Buy. sooo $400 bucks is very reasonable.

Not jumping on you, but OH MAN are you in for a rude awakening w/ this car lol. The FD is VERY expensive to maintain...not just in parts, but b/c it's notoriously unreliable. So don't be surprised w/ crazy prices on EVERYTHING. I'll save you the trouble: you gotta pay to play. That's why many ppl buy FDs, and weeks later put 'em up for sale with something wrong, b/c they can't afford to fix it

and i have searched... thats why i came here
I believe you, but search harder This forum is not very nice or patient, so this is just a head's up. Other guys will simply flame you...no warning lol. There's 70,000+ members, and a decade of threads. Pretty much EVERYTHING'S been covered, many times over in the least

from mazda japan the current '99-spec' spoiler price is 83,000yen - that includes all the bolts and bits and pieces. Shipping would be around the 9000-10000yen mark.

Damn. The man is trying to save $700 on a wing by buying an exact replica. What's wrong with that?

I know most of you have bought used parts to save some money, and usually the reliability of used parts is unknown.

Hummm I have to Disagree of course. Saving $700 in one shot doesnt mean he will be saving $700. HUMMM lets think.

First off the Mazda original comes with Paint and hardware----How much is that? Maybe $500 for paint? It is here so bare with me. PLUS its not FIBERGLASS which is very prone to cracking. After in stress areas since it was made CHEAP as you said. So if it gets fatigue enough it will crack the paint and then you can fix it complete with another paint job. Basically but trying to match the mazda quality you will spend 2x as much as you think your saving.

PERSONALLY I would pay the extra $200 to have a better product. That will actually fit.

Just send a message to the seller hediko98 on ebay. He has had the non cf ones in the past I think for about $300. He has also posted in the 3rd gen parts section if I recall correctly. Here is the thread.......

I'm not doubting the quality of Mazda's products. Hell, I even paid $900 for a pair of Mazda sideskirts!! I wouldn't have bought them if I thought they were inferior. I just don't see why everyone got bent out of shape when he claimed he wanted to buy an imitation product to save some money. Are you going to say that Rotary Extreme's replicas are crap because they are not Mazda? Are they going to crack and damage the paint? Are customers throwing away their money for buying a RE front bumper instead of paying Mazda twice the amount? Probably not. I'm sure he was just asking if anyone made a cheaper imitation because there are a few quality knockoff parts out there. I know if a reputible company (such as Rotary Extreme) made a 99-spec wing for half the price of a Mazda one, I'd buy one right now. I'm not defending the crap on Ebay, if that's what you think.

Also, I have a friend that works at a good autobody shop, and he'd paint me a spoiler for a 30-pack, the price of the paint itself, and maybe some help on a project. So getting something painted wouldn't be a problem for me. Besides, a lot of autobody techs make more money doing jobs after work for cheap than actually working at the shop. You just have to know them personally to receive the "homie price".

$900 for mazda Skirtskirts bummer I sold about 20 pairs in the US at $500 a pair. oh well..

EBAY stuff which was brough up quick, is usually shitty.

Long story short. If its really cheap and NEW its probably ****......

Humm where do they save the money? Bulk parts DOUBT IT, using less resin and fiberglass (most likely).

A lot of people asked me after they bought copied 99spec spoiler "hey Jason can you get the seals and screws for the 99spec spoiler, my replica didnt come with them"

I imaging you can make the same spoiler good and decent for about $500 being adjustable and such same as the original.

Mazda is bugging on some of there prices, that much is true. I dont defend the price, but I do defend the quality.

Not that hard to find a USED 99spec spoiler and get the better product and cheap.... Well maybe about $600 since people like to make money hehe
