Question 99 spec or efini turbos rz rs?

is there any way to tell the difference between the rz 280 hp, and the rs 265 hp turbos off of the 99 spec/ efini models i keep seeing it being posted and was wondering how i can tell the difference, i have a set and the primary turbo has ht12-3b r, 3820 with a 3 on it, the rear turbo has n3g1, 3820 also with a 3. thanks, just trying to figure out what i have!

Late model FDs made more power due to superior tuning on a 16bit ECU, and increased boost. The turbos used on all RX-7s are of the same ability, 1992-2002.

Not true. But they are close. The high output ("99 spec") turbos had a better efficiency. These have the black plastic material inside the compressor housing.

minor efficiency differences aside, 99spec twins at their maximum output won't make any more power than 92-94 twins at their maximum output or 95-98(also the turbos used on the 99-02 automatics).

What I'm trying to say is, in the details they have differences, but there is no practical difference between them.

What do the abraidable seals even do? People mention them, but I've never seen anyone say what they do or why they're beneficial.
