99 spec bumper lights

Thinking about buying some 99 spec bumper lights for my cwest front. The ones im looking at dont come with wiring harnesses . The seller tells me that my stock ones can be modified easily , does anyone know if this is true and whats involved in the process , thanks

yes and no, the parking light socket will work with a little filing. The turn signals dont. I started a thread about this a little while ago.
I'm gonna go try local auto parts stores, see if I find something close enough. Shouldnt be that hard.

i fitted the pre 99 plug into 99spec front blinker/parking lights. it just took a little careful filing. mine now are like stock fitment. can push in and lock into place by turning

I read the thread, but I really didn't understand how to do it or how easy it was. I'm curious to do this myself.

Or you could buy the replicas which fit the USDM harnesses and look practically the same?

it was more for the photos to show how similar they are. the process is fairly self explanatory and doesn't need a how to. grab yourself a file and make the key holes bigger. done and done. i did this to the ebay replica lights. some of the ebay replica lights come with a harness which is a straight fit to the older plug

http://www.rotarycarclub.com/showthread.php?t=483 Read this thread. Just get the replica's. They are a direct plug and play with our stock harness.
