96+ Kouki Round Tail Light Specs

I Was Gonna Attempt To Upgrade My Stock Tail Lights To The Round Style. I Figure I Might As Well Try It Before Buying Them, The Square Ones Are Just Ugly. Anyone Have A Set? I Was Curious About The Diameters Of The Circles As Well As Their Approximate Locations. It Seems Fairly Simple To Do. Only Tough Part Is Separating The Lense Cover...those Suckers Are Glued Together Big Time....lol

You put the tails in the oven to soften up the glue. Then you can pry them apart.

Search around, there is a decent write-up about this.

all you have to do is put the lights in an oven or use a heat gun until the glue starts to melt then you pry the lense cover from the housing , let it cool down find somethin with the right lookin diameter (i used a cup in my kitchen) then put tape on the red and yellow light covers and trace out the circles using a cup or somthin then use a razer and cut on the line that you traced then remove the extra tape only leaving the the circles then get some flat black paint and start spraying, do a few coats, then heat the glue back up and put the assembly back together. any questions?

dont use a cup or something. i believe the circle sizes are 80mm and 75mm. there is a thread on here with exact. anyways go to a sticker shop and have them cut you a sticker those sizes. make sure they are those sizes, becuase you have to convert them to inches and mine were all f**d up the first time, and had them redue them.
than just center them the best you can. spray the lights black, and peel the stickers off from the center with a tooth pick.

make sure you heat the lights back up. i made that mistake and now one of mine is off a tad. in fact i think im gonna fix that today, thanx.

the only reason i use a cup is cause my tial lights are cracked and i was gonna get a new pair any ways, and the look pretty close and im sure some one isnt gonna walk up to my car and say that those circles arent 80mm... btw 80mm = 3.14 in.
