Wow sounds like a great car. I didn't know they made r1's in 94 with red leather seats. 17k doesn't sound cheap, but for a car in great condition it sounds about right. good luck selling it.

A 1994 R1? They were made for 1993 only. And they came with black/greyish suede-like seats.

That probably means he has different springs and a strut bar. It definitely is not an R1 for all the reasons listed above (no R1 in '94, no red seats in R models unless they are aftermarket).

check for second oil cooler & R models don't have cruise or sunroof.

$17K is a good price if the car is in *perfect* condition, and an even better deal if it is a genuine R2

Yea 93 had the r1s and 94-95 were r2s.

Sounds look a good deal, especially since its black with red seats! VERY pimpy...

no it is not an r1. they were replaced by the r2 in 94. as someone already stated, neither r1 nor r2 came with leather

actually that package is called an R2 in 94 and 95s, only R1s produced were in 93......

and with red leather I guess its not a "true" R2, but if it met all the other requirements (no sunroof, no bose, front/rear spoilers, strut bar, dual oil coolers, springs, no cruise......although I am sure could be dealer installed when the car was new) one of the cars owners most likely swapped out the stock seats for the red leather.

it most likely was an R2 with just swapped seats. I didn't read where it had any of the other features of a touring or PEP model.
