94 FD Stock radiator location

I purchased my car with an aftermarket all aluminum radiator but I was wondering if it's mounted in the same place as the stock one.

What mounting position is this considered? (I.E vmount, etc etc.) Or is it just considered stock position? Lol.

That is the stock location.

HOWEVER, you will NEED to replace the undertray that is missing from your car. It acts as a floor so that the air coming in the front bumper is forced thru the radiator.

Without the undertray, it can overheat!

I'm sure you know this, but that's the A/C condenser. The radiator is above that, kinda sandwiched to it.

When you say need, do you mean; "NEED" or " NEEDDDDDD!" is it really not safe to drive without it? Don't get me wrong I am not doubting you and I plan to get one immediately now that I know that, but how crucial is it? How much hotter does it supposedly run?

Lol yes that I am aware of, didn't want to remove the condenser to get a clear shot of the radiator.

I just ordered one from prosport a few days ago. I don't drive the car often. Haven't been driving it at all actually. Waiting on plugs, wires, fuel filter, vacuum lines, efini ypipe, and all the gaskets and solenoids to come in before I actually start driving it occasionally. Sighhh.

I live in hawaii. I plan to only drive the car at night (for the most part)

Read up on the stock temp gauge. If it moves in the red, it's too late.
Any other mods that have been done to the car ??? If not, take the time to
read the FAQ.

Thanks. I've actually read pretty much all the faqs and reliability mods. Its the reason I purchased the gauge.

because of how its angled it will act as a wing diverting air under the car instead of through the radiator to cool water .

with the undertray this issue is fixed . and dont concider it an issue the stock radiator placement works well . aslong as you have an undertray

so you NEED the undertray asap. because these cars Dislike being overheated. 1 over heat can lead to a blown motor .

Does anyone happen to know the part number for the full undertray? I called my local mazda parts dealer and they are slightly confused if it's all one piece or not.

Yup shipping is going to suck coconuts. I had a Greddy catback sent to me in Oahu and shipping was about 30% of the original cost for the part.
