93Fd cooling problem o-ring failure?

I have a 93fd i have been loosing coolant like crazy.
Engine is rebuilt probably 10k on it.I always warm the car up before driving it,it has a upgraded rad and intercooler. If i drive the car for an hour the next day i have to add about half a glass of coolant to top it up.Whats strange is the car doesnt smoke at all and idles and drives perfectly fine.

Another strange thing is if i drive the car and it heats up to running temperature usually 84C doesnt go any higher but when i shut the car off for about 5minutes the temperature rises to about 92C and if i go turn the car back on it starts reving up like crazy up to 6000rpm then the temp slowly drops to back to 84C.What could be causing this problem.if i shut the car off i always have to wait till the temp drops below 90C so it wouldnt rev up by itself to 6k rpm.

Im not sure if i posted it in the right section

I'm not sure why your car rev's to 6k when hot. You might try reading through the FSM trouble-shooting.
