93 RX-7 To 2000 Front Bumper Conversion

Hey all new to this Forum I hope I don't get flamed for asking this but fairly new to the FD seen.

What exactly do you need to do a 2000 front bumper converion all I know is you need the front bumber lights and of course JDM bumber.

Any help on this would be greatly appericated or expierence for the matter.

That's easy. Just check out a couple vendors.

www.rx7store.net
www.corksport.com
www.gothamracing.com
www.rotaryextreme.com
www.rxecret7.com

That should get you started.

The 92 model nose has a different reinforcment bar to the 99 model.

You can make the 99 nose fit onto your 92 re-inforcement but your air intake is going to be missing. Not that its a concern if you are using a pod filter.

As has been stated above, you can use your oem rebar, but need to open up both holes to accept the larger 99 combo lights. Easy if you know how to do it and have the proper air tools, pain in the *** if not.

Rich,

What air tools are you referring to, and how exactly did you open up the rebar to fit? Just curious.

You just need some sort of saw or rotary cutter to open up the holes in the rebar to accept the larger backsides of the larger '99 signal lights.

THANK YOU!!! my god, i thought i was the only one that realized he spelled it like a "one armed retard." its even spelled correctly the first time... i don't care about spelling errors, i suck at it to (i'm an engineer if its not numbers i can't spell it correctly for the most part).

just so my post has a reason to exist... putting the '99 spec front end on, you MUST get rid of the stock airbox to use the '93 rebar? i didn't know that one before.

Hard to figure out how it happens too... "b" is nowhere near "p" on the keyboard.

I think whomever had that in reverse... if you tried to put a 93-95 bumper and rebar on a '99 model car, it wouldn't have a hole for the intake behind the plate.... The 93 intake draws from the IC duct, so it isn't an issue with the rebar from a 99.

You can get used ones from jt-imports but either way they will be painted allready so hopefully you requested a matching color.
