93 RHD body value?

Hi , sorry this probably should be posted somewhere else but,

Whats a fair price for a 93 rhd FD with 150k and a cooked engine?
Body is in great shape and the car is pretty much stock , but has a few things .. piggyback fuel control and wideband ...
-Thanks

Canadian prices will be cheaper since the market is full of rhd rx7's. for 7-9k

km's are also a tad high for rhd in canada, mines a 94 at 66,xxx km's.

I would say around $3000 cdn for the shell alone is what is should be worth. 4k tops complete with blown motor.

Aren't there new laws popping up now that are forbidding the registration of RHD cars or something? This would make the car that much cheaper.

Not in most of Canada^
only Ontario and Quebec i believe.
And it would be grandfathered in since its already registered here.

Why point that out when bringing an offer though? Doing that would simply be doing the sellers negotiation for him....

You have to register the car again right? This already eliminates new buyers from Quebec and Ontario. Isn't this law probably going to be more commonplace? This will make the car harder to sell in the future and therefore cheaper to buy now I would think.

From what i have read it limits only new importations, once it has a Canadian VIN it is good to go.
I could be wrong, but this is my understanding of the law.

Once the car is registered in quebec or ontario you can always sell/buy it. No new imports are allowed in those provinces, even if the car was registered in BC. It has nothing to do with JDM Importing into canada, its New JDM out of province vehicle registrations.

Not every province assigns new "canadian vins" either. SK for example still uses the JDM one.

In short: you cant sell your car to a ontario/quebec customer. but who really cares? you still have a decent market to sell to. In fact contact Conrad @ 4kruzn in alberta, he loves buying rhd parts cars and might buy your car in full.

if the car was registered before 2010 may 29 , then you are all good and you can plate the car however and whenever u want! and also the car mustve been imported in canada before 2009 april i believe, this is for quebec i am talking, i have no idea if its the same law in ontario

thanks snake, i'm going to look further into this non-sense. It's a pity, because all these young guys buy these rhd vehicles, simply because they can, and ruin everything for everyone else.

project, that sounds like a good deal.

Personally, I'd value a rhd fd with a blown motor at 1.5-4 provided everything else is in good shape. If the body is shot, then I would not offer anything lol. Your basically paying for a shell at that point.
