93' O2 sensor

my engine check lamp has been going on ocassion and got my car diagnostic... the O2 sensor needs to be reset... the reader says to DISCONNECT GROUND and DEPRESS FOR 5 SECONDS? what does that exactly mean... is it disconnect the ground from the battery then press down the gas for 5 seconds?
