93 FD 36K miles for $18000 a good deal?
Hey guys been a long time because I had to sell my old FD because of a move. But now I am ready to get one again.
I wanted to know what you guys thought of this car and if it is a good deal.
93
Brilliant Black with Tan leather
5spd --- of course
36,000 miles.
Completely stock
Car is currently in AZ but said he bought from LA Motorcars in TX.
From what the guys has told me it sounds like a touring, Moon roof, spoiler... I dont know exactly how to tell. He is a friend of my girlfriends and says he is a "motivated buyer" but for even say $17k I would rather buy around $13K with higher miles and rebuild with streetport with hybrids.
Please let me know what you guys think.
Eric.

Don't get me wrong, I love the crap out of my car and wouldn't trade anything for the knowledge I have gained (something you probably wont get from buying a fully modded car)...I just thing I could have done it smarter financially.
Choose wisely.

If you're going to keep it roughly stock, then it may be a good deal (if it looks as good as it sounds). If you're going to mod the hell out of it then I'd say either buy a high-mileage blown motor or do what apneablue said and buy one already modded.

Sounds good to me. You aren't going to find many cars out there with less than 40k miles, if you don't get this one it'll be a long time before another one comes around at that price (or any). My personal view is the newer the better, new in terms of mileage and in terms of wear. I'll pay a nice premium for seats that look new, paint that is glossy, etc. If you are asking if its a good deal, to people like myself, yes (assuming the mileage is reflective of the condition), but only you can decide if that kind of car is for you.

Plug in the variables at http://www.kbb.com and get a blue book value. Offer him that much (it should be less than 18K, I calculated $14,590 on that site). Print it out and show him.
I'd buy it. 36000 miles AND it's black. You can't go wrong. That car should give you a lot more miles unless it's been overheated (or you blow it up with improper mods).
Get a downpipe and just drive it stock for a while.
Have it checked thoroughly by a knowledgeable mechanic.
Good luck.

Eric, what's up. This is Matt, I'm Autumn's friend, I told her about Cory. That's pretty funny to see you posting about it.
It's a solid car though, he spent about 4 months trying to find it and he's kinda pissed his dad wont by it from him so he can have it to drive.
Anyway, have Autumn call me and you can schedule a time to come check it out with him, he'll let you get it inspected.
If you are serious man, let him know because I went over to his place, I think 2 days ago, and someone was test-driving it with him.
