Smog Help

Ok i finally got a main cat to put on my car. You guys think I dont put air pump in it woont pass smog. Visual i know it wont but i got someone to overlook it. Any suggustions would help. Thanks.

Probably WON'T pass a sniffer w/o the air pump - the Cat needs extra air to catalise (Burn) the Carbon-monoxide (co) to Carbon-dioxide (co2) and the unburned hydrocarbons (HC) to water (h2o) and co2
so you can see the catalyst needs a LOT of Oxygen (o2) (air = 14% o2) to work correctly.

You will need the air pump hooked up to "legitimately" pass the test. Also make sure your car is completely warmed up -- as in pull into the smog station right after doing some hard freeway driving...
