NC 93 CYM For Sale...100 miles away from me, what do you guys think?

Cars for Sale: 1993 Mazda RX-7 Turbo in Cary, NC 27519: Coupe Details - 331759049 - AutoTrader.com

Considering I've decided to sell my Black 7....I wanted to keep it in the family and get another CYM and found this. It may have a lil more miles than I would like but it looks like a garage queen and i'm going to nitpick the **** out of it this weekend if the other buyer falls through. To me it seems like a reasonable asking price if it's an all original CYM that hasn't been in any accidents and the mileage is accurate.

Just looking from input on you guys and I feel like it's early Christmas for me if I can land this CYM!

I would go look at it in person, then make the decision. Is it Jon selling it? He's also in Cary, NC.

Too bad its a CYM . I could never own a yellow car. Its a ticket magnet for sure.

Go see it before getting too excited. Have a rotary shop do an inspection with compression test.

No need to have a compression test done if Allrotor93 is selling this one. His company is the one that did the build, solid guy and company

Go for it sounds like a fair deal.

62K miles and the car is 20 years old so that's 3.1K miles a year. That is hardly any driving at all, probably drove it just enough to keep it healthy which is what you want.

To be honest I kinda chuckle at people who never drive their car as the only thing they are doing is saving it for the next guy. Screw that lol. Nevermind the people on here that complain about a car that has over 40K miles lol... do a little math people FD's are no longer 5 years old and you are purchasing one from a private seller not a museum.

Oh I love yellow fds. In fact, I love pretty much all yellow sports cars. IMO a sports car exterior should match its performance. But to each their own as bright colors brings out violent reactions from people

Cym

If it has not been hit, the interior is all there. Buying it is not a bad choice. These cars are getting harder to acquire every day. A quick look on AutoTrader.com indicates there are only 55 for sale on that site in the entire country. Look at porsches, vipers etc. and you will found thousands. Good luck.

so I looked at the car today....

the exterior looked great aside from a few blemishes and it ran pretty good, I just couldn't get over the solid motor mounts, pretty noisy starting out.

overall though, I figured i'd pass on this FD, while it is a pretty nice car, it's just not what i'm looking for right now.

mileage doesn't always mean anything at all.

my '87 has 215k miles and drives better than most cars with 1/4 of the mileage, if they aren't taken care of. age causes more parts to fail than mileage usually does.
