93 CYM pricing

Hey everyone, I've been out of the RX7 world for about a year now. Anyway I'm ready to move on and am planning on selling my CYM. I'm wondering what I can expect to get for this. Just give me a ball park estimate so I don't ask for an high price when I list it in the autotrader. I know I've got lots of money in it and don't expect to recover much if any of it. Thanks for taking a look. Here's the link to a page I put together really quick after taking pictures of today. I'm looking for a price that includes everything listed.

I've admired quite a few CYM FDs, but none finer than that one. If you sell it for less than $20K you'd be doing all of us a disservice. Be patient. How healthy is the motor? Absolutely beautiful!

For the mileage on it, i really cant see it fetching over 20k unless it has a fresh rebuild motor and turbos. Your car is beautiful and you can definately expect high teens if your patient. Or you can just place it for mid teens and sell it in a snap. It all depends on how bad you want to get rid of it.

Take it from someone who really appreciates a good clean CYM if you don't get at least 22.5 I'll be very sad. I'm on my 2nd one and just paid $25K for it mind you it only has 19K original miles on it and it was an all original car, one owner car thats never been wrecked or ever had paint work so I was willing to pay alittle more then what they "normally" fetch but you get what you pay for I guess. There can't be to many unmolested, low mile CYM's out there. If I didn't buy this one I would have bought yours in a heart beat. Who knows anyone want a mint 19K mile CYM so I can buy OKCYM's car, please....

did you have some work done by Marvelspeed here in Dallas? If so I saw your car and it looked super clean.

I'm with t51quicksilver on this one. After looking at the pics and thinking more about it last night, that car is easily worth 22 to 25K. Hell, he's got more than 10K just in body part upgrades and paint alone!! Engine bay is super clean. R1 suede seats look barely worn. I assume that the engine is healthy? Unless the undercarriage is ravaged or someone pulls a Carfax that says the vehicle has a salvaged title, I'm sticking with my estimate. Advertise it somewhere like Hemmings or another "Classic Car" website to attract the best money and eliminate the low ball mentality that's so often seen here.

Oops! Add and 'l' to the link:

http://ww2.huybiz.com:8080/ForSale/7/rx7.html

Thanks for all the compliments and advice guys. I'm in Moore, Oklahoma.

The moter is fine. Twin turbos work great. I forgot to mention that the transmission was rebuilt by Marvelspeed about 1.5 years ago. All the bearings were replaced. RP took care of the 5th gear syncro problems when I first purchased the car.

Yes, it was at Marvelspeed to put the Blitz injectors in and for tuning.

Here's what's bad:

AC only works on 1 or 2 (damn PowerFC)
Driverside window quit working the other day.

I guess I'm just getting old but, I want a smoother, quieter ride that seats 4. The unobtanium bushings creak too much for me and I don't want to keep greasing them.

This guy at work says I should just put it in the gargage, cover it up and bring it back out during my mid-life crisis :-). I'm 29 now.

ok,

then it was your car. I'm not a fan for 3 spoke wheels but in person the car is extremely well kept and clean. Really does look fantastic in person. Sorry to hear that your letting that nice car go. Good luck on the sale.

$25K for a modded 12 year old car...with 100K+

I love seeing FD's go that high, but damn.

does look clean...but I'd only pay $25K for bone stock CYM...with the battery cover

I don't think it as worth as much as some of the others. It has over 100K on it, and apparently has the original engine and turbos. As we all know, you don't get full value for all the mods. I would be surprised if you were able to get over 18K for it, but I hope you get more. Good luck with the sale

The engine and turbos aren't orginal. They are 99 spec twins with 20k mi. on them. The link I reposted has the mods on it. Link posted by afterburn27 has a bunch of old pics, ignore that one. afterburn, can you edit your post to remove that link? thanks

Again, here's the good link:

http://ww2.huybiz.com:8080/ForSale/7/rx7.html

When I get home tonight, I'll make the first link work as well. I just can't seem to edit the first post.

Great looking car

IMO if you want to sell it in the next couple of months 18 to 20 but anything higher could literally take years.

Good luck

Sorry, I would edit it if I could.

Nice car though, as others have already said I think it could easily sell for around $20,000.
