91 Octane gas?

I am wondering what the max horsepower you can run on 91 octane gas, because I live in Utah and thats as good as it gets. And I dont like the idea of ocatane boost every fillup.

Also...

And also if the winterizer they put in utah (and other cold states) gas, i know the car feels less pwerfull when you use it but will that make a high hp car unsafe to drive ?

Alx7

I am in American Fork UT, so not to far from ya.
I dont have an rx7 quite yet as the pickings around here seem to be VERY slim. I am doing tons of research to make sure this is the car for me before buying. But I have been on a testdrive and love it so far.

I live in Southern NM and all we have is 91 octane also. I've been using it for about 2 years now and what I've found is who you get it from counts a whole lot. Chevron is the best, Shamrock is the worst. We don't have Mobil. My gas milage is very sensitive to the octane rating, so try shopping around and watch your gas milage. That will give you an idea of what gas is best. Also, shop around for the octane booster. I've found the price varies quite a bit.
