Street port+More lag...need power sooner.

Hi Guys,
I have a 3mm street ported engine and a ported wastegate. It gives a bit more turbo lag than the stock configuration.

Is there anything I could do to bring the turbos on line quicker?
thanks for the replies... jc.

A 50 shot or so would definately help with the lag.....it'll cool your intake charge too.

You did not mention which turbos and other mods you have. My friends with street ported engines did not lose turbo responce just for going street port with stock turbos. If you do, then something else is not working correctly.

Like you would not go street port with a stock exhuast system. It would reduce power, not help.

Sorry here are my mods: N-tech intake/M2 large/SS downpipe/
Borla xr1 midpipe/Blitz catback/Pettit ecu/4:30 ring and pinion/
Slightly lightend stock flywheel/ Crane hi-6/

I think that is about the most of it. jc

manual boost controller

get a manual boost controller...set it up so the second turbo flows into the first a bit sooner....I think the word Im looking for is prespool...you can eek out a bit of low end that way.

or you can go m2 upgraded twins like I am.

Efini Y-Pipe it up. I've heard of it increasing 1 psi. of boost. Also get that pre-spool and boost adjusted.
