Which 9.5Lb. Flywheel

Gonna need a new clutch pretty soon so I'll put in the light weight flywheel while I'm at it. So...SRmotorsports or the M2? Is there any real difference? Anyone have good or bad experiences with either?

I went with the S/S Clutch/RB 9.5lb Alum. Fly from the rx7store. Good price and seems to be the popular choice. What's your HP goal?

Only buy from a well know manufacturer. Among those, but the cheapest one. They are all basically the same.

Here's some more info on the Racing Beat flywheel:
http://www.maxcooper.com/rx7/parts_info/flywheel/

Darn web site seems to be down right now, though. Argh! My hosting company has had terrible service lately. Broke my website when they switched servers, broke my email, randomly bounces emails, outages... Sorry, just venting.

The flywheel itself is just 8.2 lbs, 12.5 with counterweight and hardware.

RB says 12.5lbs. SR and M2 say 9.5lbs. Are they including the counterweight too???

RB seems to be the only one that includes the counterweight when listing the weight.

RB's weight is with the counterweight and the others are not.

I thought about getting one of those in, but when you add the counterweight to the price its almost $500.

I got the SS 9.5lbs steel one from mazdatrix.com and it's the sh*t! I think it's made by RB, not sure though.

Pettit offers an 8.5 lbs one as well. I have it and love it.

I don't know if they are simply reselling another one...

I like the SR Motorsports kit. Good people to deal with and all parts came as promised quickly.

Mazdatrix doesn't sell a 9.5 lb flywheel. They sell a 12.5 (w/counterweight) aluminum flywheel and a 17 or 18 lbs (w/counterweight, I assume) steel one. I believe that both of them are Racing Beat parts. I got my aluminum Racing Beat flywheel from Mazdatrix.

The SR motorsports FW is a lot easier to install than the RB. Both are good quality units. I went with SR and I would do it again if I had too.

I think I might go with the SR then. Plus they're local but so is M2.
