8th mile time
Ok my last time at the track i managed a 9.0 at 78 with a downpipe as my only mod. I have added a drop in K&n and a power fc. At 12psi i got 2.0 60ft 8.74 et at 82.09, these were acquired with old hockey puck tires...I believe my rusted *** stock muffler is keeping me from getting a steady 12psi that will be replaced next.

I have a 93 montego touring. Yes its a 5 speed. i launched by reving up to 4000 rpm an slipping out the clutch till the boost comes up and the momentum starts. Just be very carefull when doing a burnout, i just rev and spin a little because wheel hop will be a bitch.

so you cant get in the water and dump it at 5 grand or so and power brake, it will still wheel hop. i had a 300zx 2+2 before this machine and it would have wheel hop from a start but it would not when i would rev it up and dump it and poewr brake it. i have not tried that yet with this car because i like it to much, but would like to know, thanks for the launch advice, scott

Well, mine hops like mad, but could also be from my old *** tires, and normal air pressure. If you let it down some it might not be as bad, but it all depends on conditions..i guess...

Usual practice is to avoid the water if your running on street tires. Still may want to spin em once or twice to loosen debris though. Here are some launching tips... http://www.rotarypowered.com/faqlaunching.html
