7 pros advice please

Hey guys,
I just installed an HKS TO4E single turbo, with a greddy FMIC. I am using a Pettit Unlimited ECU until I can get a power FC. I also am using the stock elbow with the stock blow off valve hooked up to it until I can get someone to weld on my Apexi BOV. I installed a fully open exhaust system as well, and moved my battery to the trunk to accomodate the IC. Alright, today I ran it for the first time, and my A/F gauge reads that my car is running more rich than before which I didn't think would happen, my boost gauge read about 5 lbs, because I am trying to keep the boost down until I get a stand alone fuel system. After running it for a while, at a red light, the car died and would start for a while. Then it started and upon driving it around a little, it wound up stalling again at another red light, and once again started a little while later. What could be causing this? Is it the stock BOV located way back on the elbow? Could it be it is actually flooding itself? Could it be that it isn't getting enough air because the HKS filter is really close to the hood when closed which needs to be relocated? Could it be that my battery isn't grounded well enough? How about the boost isn't turned up high enough? Let me know what you guys think please, any help is always very well appreciated!
Thanks,
Jason

I doubt it's your battery, filter or blow off valve. I don't know a whole lot about single turbos, but there might be so much less back-pressure that your stock computer doesn't know what to do. I could easily be wrong, but I would just avoid driving it until you get the PFC and then see what happens.

thanks for your insight. that's the problem though, these kits are advertised as a means to replace your stock turbos with a single for a bone stock application, all the way up to a fully modified 600 hp car, so I believed that my car should be fine if I just keep the boost down so as to not get the engine running to lean. Right now it seems to be running rich, so maybe I don't have the boost set high enough. I wanted to wait a while until I could get the power fc. I could probably get one now, if I sell my pettit ecu, but do you know if I have to get injectors as well, because I know I can't afford those as well at this time.
thanks
Jason

Running a single you almost certainly need new injectors and a new fuel pump. If you think it's stalling because you're not running enough boost, then put new plugs in it and don't get on the boost at all. That will tell you, but if it were on my car I'd be afraid to run a single without a programmable ecu.
