60mm gauge in column mount pod

simple question.....will it fit?? i know id have to dremel it out, that isnt a problem. more concerned about the depth issue if there is a problem there.

cant find any threads addressing this....

it depends on what kind of guage your going to put in there. ie greddy manual boost guage, the depth is very short, and has the best chance of making it fit. otherwise, i don't think any 60 mm will fit. my 52 greddy fuel pressure still sticks out a bit due to the depth of the guage. hope this helps

You can use 52mm pods with 60mm gauges. You just need to gouge it out a little until it fits. I have a 52mm gauge and a 60mm gauge in a 52mm dual pod.

Has anyone else done this? I'd just like to confirm before I order the pod and then attempt to hack it up.

PLX 60mm has almost NO depth and would fit if you shaved a 52mm out. Doesn't Pettit sell a 60mm version of this?

The PLX is what I'd be using with it. It is super thin, but I'm not sure the trim ring (bezel)contour would fit in the contour of the pod mold. Of course I could always remove the OLED and then glass it in the pod, but that wouldn't look as nice in my opinion.

...that feeling you get when you search the forums for something you don't know - and a person references that you did it 13 years ago.

Seriously though - I *think* I had a 52mm gauge mounted in the RE-A/Pettit Pod - anyone know if a 60mm will fit?

i doubt it would fit in the pettit pod as it was hard enough getting the 52mm in mine

Yeah... that's kinda what I was thinking. I don't have the pod in front of me at the moment - but just because of the layout - it doesn't seem as simple as buzzing it with a dremel.

It really depends on the depth of the gauge you are going to use. Unfortunately, it's not as simple as "yes" or "no". It will depend on the gauge and it's size.

I have a autometer 52mm pod for the FD with 60mm defi bf gauges in it. Used a rotary tool on it and it was a tight fit but they look awesome I can shoot you some photos of the depth if you like.
