yes it does if you put an Rx8/turbo 2 clutch on it.

you're asking the wrong question though, the question you need to ask is if it bolts to the power plant frame, and is the shifter in the right place?

...and also whether it will hold more or less power than the stock transmission.

yes, it should be possible, i know that it is possible to put an Fd box into an Rx8. But thats the problem, people are willing to do that swap because the Rx8 gearbox is a modified Miata Box, and despite rumors, the R3 box is not a modified Fd box.. but its also not a regular Rx8 box..to make a long story short if you have a stock or very lightly modified Fd, you might be ok, and i wish you the best of luck (im also curious to see it done) but if your car makes anything over about 300hp, dont do it, you will probably blow the trans up pretty quickly.

LOL... I was thinking that my car always needed an extra gear, or two. That would really put me in the front of the pack!!

may not be relevant but a friend of mine has an FC and runs the rx8 transmission but had different gears and such in it.. i believe hes around 400whp and its been holding up well... what is the point of swapping to the rx8 tranny?
