6 speed?

6 speed?
Does anyone happen to know where I might be able to find a 6 speed transmission? I've been looking through all the tuner magazines for adds, but I haven't been able to find anything for fd's. Thanks a lot.

ummm if ur really set on a 6 speed, just throw an ls1+t56 swap into ur car. then u have a tranny that is rated to 550+ lbs of torque on the stock internals. good luck, as others have already stated the 5 speed is really well matched to the stock rotary and has good enough gear ratios.

you have to be more open minded..our cars are great yes, compared to the 8 now? yes is most cases but you cant be saying that for the next 5+ years or so..

If I found a car that I would enjoy more than my FD and could justify spending the cash to buy it - I'd do it. I am not one of those that thinks the FD was, is, or forever will be the best car out there - It was not, is not, and never will be. But it is a car that I really enjoy. My original point was that most people don't have a clue about any of this stuff.

Sorry I'm so late about this (couldn't get on this weekend), but what's an ls1+t56? This is my first car so I'm just searching for the good things to do to it. Thanks.

Like I said, this is my very first car. I didn't even like cars untill I saw this fd, so I'm looking at different ways I can make it different and better, and I've seen a couple of them that road race and they both have 6-speeds, so I just figured there must be a reason for them to do it.
