-6 Hard Lines (stock) - Will they handle 600hp?

Looking to push 600hp without having to replace the stock hard lines.

My fuel rails are -6, with welded -AN fittings. The stock hard line remains and runs to the pump.

Has anyone been able to push that kind of power through the stock hard lines? I know people go -8, but is it necessary?

Rumor has it that LUPE was using the stock hard lines and he made 603 on a rich tune. Same setup, different pump.

I've heard people say the stock hardline is good for max of 450hp, but then again.. I'm looking for someone who's made more than 550hp and closer to 600 on the stock hard lines that can give me some input.

you can always run the stock feed/return as your feed lines, and use the vapor canistor line as your return. I made tons of power with this (upper 500's) with no problems.

The lines really don't care how much power the car makes. The lines just care about how much pressure is being pushed through them. Just make sure whatever hose you use is rated for enough fuel pressure.

Yeah i've throught about that as well.

Did you just use hose clamps on the stock hard lines? or did you get the -AN to tube fittings?

My setup will be similiar to yours then. I'll be running dual supra pumps as well, running direct line from the battery.

What is your base fuel pressure?

I had this setup with walbros.

I used rubber lines until the engine bay, then i used nipple to an adaptors (i think they were from KGparts) to go to an fittings.

Now i just run an A100 with -8 feed -6 return.

I never thought of the lines being too small. I guess that's why you compensate with more pressure. Is there some kind of scale or ratio anyone know of to determine proper fuel pressure? I have my base set to 36psi (with vacuum) but will I have to raise it when I go from 10lbs to 15lbs?

Dhahlen - Would loved to have seen your car. Maybe next get together.

Will stock feul lines be alright with dual Walbro 255LPH feul pumps?

I have the duel walbros running the stock three lines. I ran bradded ss to the hard lines with 1/2'' hose clamps with heat shrink on the raw ends and an fittings to motor. tested to over 60 psi , no leaks. I also double clamp on the hard lines without the swedge. I ran 5/16 brake line out of pump cover brazzed on the inside, looks just like the stock hard lines out of pump cover. Also went with stainless steel alen head screws for the pump cover as the phillips heads were stripped and rusty.
