52mm A-piller pod ---> 60mm A-piller pod how to?

I have the autometer dual gauge pod that holds 2 52mm gauges. How do I modify it to hold 2 60mm gauges?

dremel your gauges until they're 52mm... j/k, just use a dremel to enlarge the gauge pod holes. i don't think there's any other way to make a 60mm gauge fit in a 52mm hole without enlarging the hole.

yo...b4 u startin shaving the pod with the dremel...let me tell u...i have been there and done that and it wont work. The back of the 60mm gauge is to thick...therefore even though u might get the 60mm gauge to fit in the pod, but when u wanna put the pod on the pillar, u wont be able to b/c the back of the gauge will be in the way.

hope that helps.

i would think so...reason being, they are all the same size... and all made to fit in any 60mm pod/holder etc...so urs would be the same size as the one i tried to do this with. It was a good though, and i did make the gauge fit in, but it wouldn't fit on the pillar, so basically it was a wasted of 30 beans for the pod.

i have a 60mm a'pexi gauge in a dremeled out 52mm gauge pod... i don't know which gauge pod it is though. it may not be an autometer so maybe that's why it fits easily.

greddy makes a 60mm apillar holder, however i think they are universal, and the one on my friend's mr2 is pretty big. does anyone have experience with greddy in FD?

Is it an a-piller pod? I think autometer is the only company that makes an a-piller pod for the FD.

well if autometer is the only company that makes a-pillar pods, then the a'pexi gauges fit in it. here's a pic of my 60mm a-pillar mount:

I also have the autometer gauge pod, and a 60mm Greddy gauge. I originally thought that there was no way the gauge would fit. But after I really looked at the pod, and started dremeling, it fit really well. I'm still impressed that the pod looks as good as it does. If the Apexi gauge isn't that much bigger it will fit, I had room to spare. On the other hand, I have the Greddy gauge with a peak hold, and a seperate control box, I don't think the Electric gauges without the control box will fit (they sit much deeper).
