Anyone install Pettit Ground Upgrade Kit?

Hey everyone. Just installed my aluminum AST from Pettit. They also sent along this "Chassis and Engine Ground Upgrade Kit." Has anyone installed it? Does it really help at all?

If it is worth installing, where is the factor ground strap to the engine block? Should I be able to see it easily, or do I have to remove something? Also, I am supposed to connect one end of the ground wire to the negative battery terminal. The other end goes in an "empty threaded hole foward of the driver's side front shock tower mounting." I found two threaded holes, but neither of them seem to be in the same location as indicated in the diagram. Am I missing one?

Thanks!

matt

I did mine and did notice it helped a little. The cable runs from the negative battery post the an empty hole in the shock tower, be sure to sand down to the metal to get a good ground. The other bolt is to relocate the factory engine ground from a bracket, to the actual rotor housing below the plugs.

Call Pettit and beg for it, they'll send you one free.
