5000 rpm cut-out

hello fellas! I am an avid owner of a 3rd gen now for about 3 years and its been running strong all this time until recently. I brought my car in to get a complete paint job a few months back and got it returned after it was there for a while. When I went to get it they told me they couldent get it started after its been sitting there for a while. They told me they assumed it was flooded so they sent it to the local Mazda dealership down the road to get new plugs installed. When I got it back it kinda ran like a bag but I assumed it was just bad gass because it was sitting around. Anyway, its not insured yet but Ive taken it out up and down the street a couple of times now and not all the time, but alot, it totally cuts out at around 5000 rpm. WTF did the shop punk my car? Lets put it this way, I take way better care of this finely tuned peice of Japanese engenering than i do my self, so you can see this is bugging me. Any advice would be appreciated. BTW, I will be posting pics of my new paint ASAP.
