5 speed into an auto car

Can somebody post the details and or a link of what is all involved in swapping a 5 speed into an auto car? The tranny just went out in the 94 and we'd like to put a 5 speed in instead.

Thanks
Chuck

There have been some VERY informative posts on this. I already have a MT, so I didnt save it. Do a search it should pop up. From what I remember they had a link to a site that had all the parts and avg cost of doing this conversion. Good luck.

I tried to do a search but never came up with anything informative. Just a couple people who were doing a swap asking questions. Nothing detailed. If anybody has any links I'd appreciate it!

Thanks

I don't understand why people would wanna put a 5spd into an auto and vice versa.
Takes time, and money.
Wouldn't just be easier to tell the car and get another one w/ the transmission you want?
Just my opinion.
