5-6 psi and secondary doesn't even come on...

Where do I start looking? Do you guys think its the pre-control actuator or the turbo control actuator? It spools to 6 psi and it won't go passed that at all.

I know 8 psi is required for transition so maybe if i fix this problem the secondary will come online.

could it be anything else?

thanks,
randy

Either you didn't tighten down a hose clamp last time you were pulling stuff apart or you've got a bad pre-control solenoid. If it's doing it through primary spool, then yeah, it's probably not the turbo control actuator.

Have you looked at the troubleshooting guide?

http://www.autosportracetech.com/RX-...leshooting.htm

I would make sure you have the restrictor pills as well.

thanks guys, the car was running fine yesterday, until I decided to do a couple of WOT runs. The car shut off on me, i coasted to the side of the road, and then i started the car again. Only thing I could notice after that is that the car does not go passed 6 psi.

Does the car shutting off have anything to do with this? I've never had that happen before.

I have relatively new HoseTechniques couplers w/ greddy intercooler piping, but i will check anyways.

I also have to add that my CEL just came on while driving 20 miles between houses. What does this mean? I have no way to pull codes, if anyone could connect the symptoms please let me know.

Also, I took out the o2 sensor in my car and replaced it with a AEM UEGO to check the AFR's with my mods and stock ECU. I was only planning to keep this in the stock o2 sensor location for a week, to drive around enough to verify that the mods I have are safe.

Does the CEL have anything to do w/ failing pre-control solenoid?

thanks,
randy

If you pull of the pressure chamber (black box nested between the UIM and the IC hotpipe), you'll see them attached to the UIM right there.
