4w Abs Help!

Cliff Notes: 4W ABS Light came on today. Buzzing noise came from black box on ABS motor even when car was off. Tapped it twice and it went away for now.

Well the light came on today after I put in some gas and I was like ****. So I get to my lil cousins elementary to pick him up and i notice this weird noise, but i brushed it off as the way the school's giganto air conditioners sound in the car. Wel I get home and still hear the noise so im like damn. It sounded like it was coming from the right front tire, and when I opened the engine, I noticed the buzzing was coming from the black box on top of the ABS motor. This buzzing noise continued even when the car was off. I tapped it twice and it went away. Any suggestions please!

There are two relays in the black box, one of them is probably sticking. Unsnap the cover, find out which is having the problem and replace it.

Results?

Did you get the problem fixed? I want to take care of this before my motor goes in...an update would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Sorry to dig this up from the past, but I had a similar problem starting tonight. My ABS light was on all the way home from work, and when I parked I noticed this buzzing sound coming from what I presumed (still in car at this point) to be the ABS.

When I popped the hood to look, the ABS was indeed "on." The car was off, but it was buzzing and vibrating. I pulled the 60A (?) ABS fuse in the black box under the hood, and it stopped. When I reinserted the fuse it went on again for a second, then turned off. Hasn't turned on again since.

Has anyone else ever had this issue? Is it just the fuse that needs to be replaced?

I had the same thing happen to me at an auto-x. We just tapped on the relay and it went away. This was several months ago and I have yet to have the problem return.

If either/any of you guys continue to have issues, I have my whole ABS system in a box, and can part out. I know that the motor/hydralics in particular are excensive at the dealer.

After pulling and reinserting the fuse, it hasn't happened again. But if it starts to become a more frequent issue, I'll hit you up for he parts I need Jason. Thanks.
