ebay, the parts for sale section. 500 with condition and necessary equipment playing on price. Theyre just short of useless.

100% no leg room = useless

I'm a small guy too @ 5'7" and I sat in Supra and VR4 backseats few times and are already cramped for me...hardly any leg room! FD's are even smaller in the back. Maybe a toddler will fit in an FD. eBay is where I usually see them. Here are pics of seats sold recentonly on eBay. Forgot link but kept the pics.

BTW, maybe but it seems the seats are easy to install. Drop-in almost while dealing with the current storage bins...

Impossible? nope.

I can do them new OEM I occasionally see them 2nd hand.

I'm about 5'7" too - and I have sat in the back of mine quite a few times - it's alright if the person in the front is also small, and has the seat forward.

The best thing about them is storage - they are a hell of a lot better than the storage bins!

not an FD, but I know that the (probably bigger) rear seats in FC's are completely useless.

I think they are worth having, at the right price. I have em and have on occasion gone 4 up in my car. It is fine if the person in the front isnt tall, and you are only planning a short drive.

I've heard that they are really good for storage. They allow for bigger items to be held instead of the small amount/strange interior shape of the rear bins.

This is spot on...I just put these in my FD (for my 1.5 year old daughter) I think another guy like me (about 5'7") could fit behind me b/c I basicly hug the steering wheel when I drive

I hate having short legs

I haven't finalized a price, as I'm still working out the cheapest shipping method. Shipping parts that large isn't cheap...

I'll be sure to post once I do finalize the shipping cost, and thus the cost of the whole setup.

Thanks

It's the insurance back seat. Do they still give discounts for that?

I have heard this was true also, is there any validity to having back seats and insurance being reduced?

I heard *one* person say that he got a discount b/c 4-seater cars aren't considered high performance cars or something to that effect and thus it's cheaper. I can tell you on the whole, however, that's a one-off typa deal. Large insurance companies (State Farm, AllState, Progressive, Geico, etc) run the VIN which tells them all the details about the car. If you put seats in, it won't change the profile the car fits in. And by definition, RX-7s are two-seater sportscars, which is why even mky '84 FB is considered a "high performance vehicle" by my insurance. If I put rear seats in, they'll simply say "that's a nice modification, but that doesn't change how we classify the vehicle" since it didn't come like that from the factory (not in the US at least).

I kinda saw that coming. I have state farm and they run vin numbers, rather than visual inspections. However, I think if you sit down and talk to them about it, they might cut you some slack. "Like a Good Neighbor, State Farm is there"

that's a good 1. but most of the insurance agents that i comes across, does not really bother to go that extra mile for you to get you a big discount.
