4 months Still can't solve the problem.

Hello .

I know this came up millions times but I couldn't find any
answer.
I am getting 10-6-10-6 boost pattern.

I did search but looks like nobody solve the problems.

when I got my car it made 7 Psi boost all the way.
so I did vacuumhose job I found missing WG pill broken
vacuum cahmber etc so I fixed all the problems
and I install homedepot valve.
so I can adjust boost but it allways drops to around 6 after 2nd turbo kicks in.
I got strong primary 10psi before 3K and low transition
about 6 psi(maybe I can adjust)and it imidiatly back to 10 like it suppose to be but It imidatly drops 6 to redline.

I teed lots place and checked every actuator and everything was Ok.

and strange thing is before car is completly warmed up
I got 8psi on primary.

what the f** could it be.

I had wanted this beautiful car for my life and now I have it but i'm loosing all the respect for my car.

First, the car limits boost when it's cold so you don't break it. Don't try to get the boost up until the car is completely warm. Secondly, are you still running the stock cat? Sounds like poor flow in the higher rpms. Pretty normal for an old cat.

The Home Depot valves are pretty fickle and there really isn't a way to get rid of the bigger transition drop without sacrificing some pri boost. It's a compromise.

Everything sounds ok to me. Be happy you got your dream car.

RedRotor, I would be susupicious of your home depot boost controller. Why don't you buy some pills from www.rx7.com and reinstall them. If your problem persists, it's probably in the control system. I have heard of people having problems with lazy solenoids that are fine on a vacuum pump, but don't hold pressure up to spec when at engine temperature. What mod's do you have on your car? Have you ever changed your y-pipe, have you verified it for no leaks? A little more information would help to "try" to diagnose your problem. At least at 10lbs of boost you know your turbos are working. So it must be a control problem, or boost leak. First definately start with changing the pills, and list more info here.

well I don't have alot of mod I got a 3"straght CB and DP
and I checked Y pipe and it looked ok.
Last week I did poormans non-sequential to make sure
it's control system.
but funy thing the problem was still there it made 10 at 5k rpm and imidiatly droped to 6 .
so I think more like leak or converter.
I ordered silicon coupling so try this one first and check for converter.
thanks guys.

Man I tried the same thing, using a home depot pressure regulator to try to control boost. I was looking the diagram it came with that it wasnt controlling the pressure coming out of the regulator. I cant really explained but i ended up getting my money back. A friend of mine did the same for his eclipse gs-t an he swear it work for him but he returned it an got a HKS EVC. Anyway i was getting the same boost pattern you had with it. Check your Turbo Control system. specially the hoses going to the solenoids and the ones going to the actuator. The actuator uses vacuum and pressure to move and if one of those is missing it will not fully open not sending enough exhaust to the secondary turbo. Good luck. Ev7

Oh yes.

I put 2 k&n filters and it seemed cured problem.

But i don't push it too hard I'm having coolant over-flow
problem.
I hope my engine is ok.

I'm so depressed I never had fun with my car just heart attack.
