Jeff,

Andy McKee in our region, runs with the 4.33 gear ratio.
He is running the Tripoint car in SM2. What class are you running in?
And to help with the lost top speed in 2nd gear. He increase the rev limiter to 8500rpm.
Pretty neat huh..

Thanks reza!

I run in SM2, although my car isn't really built to the rules.

Hopefully one day I'll come down there for a Tour event.

I got the 4.33 rear end and I like it. Car seems to pull a bit more eagerly in 3rd ans 4th gear. 1st and 2nd happen to fast to notice any difference when your just getting on the throttle from a roll or a stop. On a chassis dyno, if your only change to the car from one run to the other is the 4.33 from the 4.1, would it show an increase in HP and torque? HP theoretically is the same, the drum weight is the same, but the gear ratio is now turning the wheels faster per engine revolution. Meaning the drum is now rotating faster during the same engine revolution.

If u run a 4.33 is probably the best for u since it brings u to the range of the stock "acceleration feel", but doesn't shorten ur gears where u have to shift all the time and suck ur MPG's when compared to 4.77.

If ur interested in a 4.33 I might be willing to sell mine since I don't have the time to install it.

It's brand spanking new from the www.rx7store.net .

But I will only sell it for the price that I paid for minus shipping.

So u save on shipping.

Otherwise I'll keep it and install it at some other time.
