3rd gens in the movies?
I saw a movie a good while ago can't remember the name but it was about a guy robbing banks and I believe his getaway car was an FD. I know that was pretty vague but I saw it one afternoon on USA or something and was wondering if any of you guys have seen any good movies with the FD. The car is a great bad guy car or getaway car and looks good enough to make a movie focusing on the car. There have been tons of great movie cars and I was just wondering if the RX-7 was ever one of them.

The Fast and the Furious, staring Vin Diesel as a criminal ripping off 18 wheelers using his modified FD. This movie fueled the loss of many FD's to low cost modification and the rest is history. Fast and furious two did not have the FD as a central figure. I did not see the fast and furious movie out this summer.

I forgot about the FD in fast and the furious. Those movies kinda ruined alot of good sports cars like the FD and Skyline, maybe the supra too. Too cheesy with stupid body kits on the cars and terrible dialogue, just to name a few of the many faults in those movies. Some of the driving scenes are entertaining though.

I tried looking up fast getaway 2 on netflix and could't find it. Though I'm pretty sure you are right about the name. I don't remember seeing the mitsubishi commercial but that might qualify as false advertising haha. The older turbo eclipse was pretty quick from what I hear, AWD too.

Wishin I Still Had The FD
There was a red FD in an episode of Mad TV, when a sorority did a charity car wash in Bel-Air. They portrayed the FD as a Bel Air-worthy car. Short scene but cool to see it.
