LOL! I agree with Jim and Damon.. Not that I'm an expert like them.. but owning few FDs n the past and seeing whats been post here and people I've talked to, This is complete waste of time and money.
If you feel so strongly about the damn tubes that you are going to weld it on the body, go ahead.. Get in the same class as Damon and see if you could beat him. If you do, I'll think about purchasing one.. LOL!

Technically, only a 5 point roll bar is the minimum requirement but everyone installs the passenger door bar to make it a 6 point. If the additional bars running under the rear crossbrace from the main hood down towards the driveshaft tunnel, those 2 extra bars make it an 8 point roll bar.
You can have a minimum 8 point roll cage with only main hoop (2 points), 2 rear bars, 2 door bars, 2 a-piller bars and any combination of extra bars after that.
So getting back to your example, you can get away with only a 6 point roll bar down to 10.00 as long as the floor or firewall have not been modified. 9.99 and quicker needs a full cage with the halo and a-piller bars. Tubbing out the rear is not considered floor modification. Cutting out the tranny tunnel and fabricating a larger tunnel, welding it back in is not considered a modification.
Firewall and floor modifications means the firewall has been cut out and moved back so it's not in the original location. If the entire floor has been cut out and new sheetmetal is used to replace it (not factory replacement panels).
jim you seem to try to put words in my mouth i have corrected you almost everytime please stop and no i wont bring myself down to your level, so im done with you. as far as everyone else let it die if you can see the pay offs great if you cant thats fine too its your car. thanks for the checking them about.

This is one of the poorest designed products I've ever come across. And I've seen a lot...
Chalk it up as another product made by someone w/o an engineering background.

I've talked with you a few times moralesrx7, don't know if you remember. I'd recomend doing a little more research before coming out of the corner swinging with these guys, mostly because they are right. You claim these will help the FD because they help mustangs/camaros/etc, well this isn't a mustang, camaro, or etc, it's an FD which already has a very stiff chassis (unlike the cars you are comparing it to) and does not need the subframes tied together. So while this is a very helpful modification on other cars that does NOT mean it will help an FD. Then your saying it will reduce chassis flex on a high powered drag car, while that may be true by the time you get to that point you should be looking into more substantial frame modifications (like jim pointed out, back halfing) than a simple subframe connector. You also said it would help in auto-xing, that is doubtful, the FD's chassis is VERY rigid and any gains (IF there were gains) in structural rigidy would be very minor and not worth the time/money or the added weight (people spend a lot of money getting rid of 17lbs). And yes there are classes that allow for subframe connectors, that does not mean that DamonB runs in those classes, nor does it mean that he WANTS to run in those classes even to test out a product.
Basically my response is that if this was a worthwhile modification it would have been done at this point, the FD community is pretty good about keeping with the times and if subframe connectors would have really helped the car that much they would already be available. Fun reading though, It's been awhile since i've seen a jimlab thread, never ceases to please .

There is no possible technicality or justication you can dream up that would make your nerf bars a DESIRABLE MODIFICATION. Now, if you can get that through your thick ******* skull and shut the hell up about them, we'll be making progress.

Well, as entertaining as this has been....THREAD CLOSED.
Besides trying to (pointlessly) argue why these bars are a meaningful improvement, morales, you are trying to sell something without becoming a forum vendor. And trying to do it on the sly too, as you didn't come right out up front and say that you were selling them. That's a no-no.
