That's a little optimistic...

The average is closer to 5.0-5.2 sec. 0-60 and 13.9-14.2 @ 99-101 mph in the quarter, based on magazine results and what I've seen from various drivers over the years.

Car Test 2000 says 5.27 sec. to 60 and 13.97 @ 100.86, which is pretty much right on the money as far as most of the magazine tests were concerned.

I know the actual numbers are higher. But I still like to say 4.9 and 13.5.

Actually those CarTest 2000 number are right on the money for a properly running FD. The absolute slowest I've seen 0-60 in the magazines is 5.4 secs and remember seeing 4.9 (one time) but most magazines came in at 5.2-5.3 and 1/4 mile times of 13.9-14.0 at 100 mph. I know there are freaks out there pulling 13.4-13.5 stock but more than likely - you don't own that one. More than likely if you go test drive a random FD that's running right it should pull 5.2-5.3 0-60 and about 14.0 in the 1/4 - stop being so optimistic guys! Those times aren't too shabby for built more for autocrossing and roadcoarses. Put 360 rwhp in a FD and you'll accelerate faster than a F40.

I have only seen 0-60 @ 4.9 sec on R1 models. They came stock with a stickier tire. A base model is even lighter than an R1 according to Madza's specs. I bet it would get that 4.9 sec range with a sticky tire.

Depends on driver...I knew a guy that ran a 13.4 quarter mile. If you can launch right it's possible
