3rd Gen Performance Records Registry?
I was on the MR2OC Forum, and I noticed they have a website dedicated to *documented* performance benchmarks by various MR2 owners. The categories are:
- Drag Racing
- Hill Climbing
- Road Course
- Dyno Power
- Land Speed
Each category is sorted by subsection. For example, under Drag Racing, each second has it's own subsection (11 sec, 10 sec, 9 sec, etc). Under Road Course, each roadcourse has it's own subsection. All entries require verification (dyno sheet, time slip, etc), otherwise they're listed as "Unverified" etc. Check it out: http://www.mr2ownersclub.com/mr2records/mr2records.htm
I know we have a "Time Slips and Dyno" subsection in the 3rd Gen forum, but I personally think it would be great to be able to have a site dedicated to just these records, an in an organized fashion (vs. a large thread w/ a multitude of posts). Not only can it provide us with a friendly competitive spirit by being able to compare who in our area/track etc has achieved what in our quest to match or beat it, but it also has a "Driver Profiles" section too, where the drivers can submit info about themselves. That's a great way to centralize and document the impressive list of not only feats but also the many talented drivers we have in the RX7 Community. And we have many!
Oh and of course there are quite a few records held by FBs and FCs, but I think it's smart to try and start small. Once there's enough interest and the ball gets rolling, it'll be easy to expand this to include other generations of RX-7s, or even other rotary powered vehicles. Whatcha guys think?

Not the company
Sounds like a great idea to me Ramy. We have LOTS of guys on here who have tons of experience both auto-crossing and road racing...as well as some insane dyno #'s.
