3rd Gen FD3S

Hi all, I wanted to rebuilt engine and the body, any of you guys know a rotary specialist shop that handle rebuilding engine and I was wondering whether you guys can tell me can I or can't I change the car's body to a newer metal? I mean total make over for the body? thanks

ummmm i dont know why you would want to change the metal used in the car chassis, FD's are very sound cars i have never seen one rusted out. i would leave the chassis alone maybe re weld all the flex points in the car but that about as far as i would go.

I appreciate it all. thanks guys hope the best for you guys. Btw, I want to keep the FD and not buying a different car that is because FD have always my dream car for 5 years and this is my chance and I cant let it go.

It must take a rather special amount of intelligence to pick a title of "3rd Gen FD3S" for a post in this forum.

The OP is in Singapore and it's a safe bet he's talking to us in a second language. If he grew up in the States and did this, he would deserve the criticism. Now that he's been pointed to the Far East section, hopefully he'll get some answers.

I heard that there are a lot of rotary shops in Japan you can take your car to. Might be a littler closer than the US too.
